Does a power position in the executive suite lend itself to online influence and reach?  This is quite an important question as women look to solidify their spot in the Digital Age (on the web).  

 The answer is a twofold one which is not easy to conclude.

Arianna Huffington, of the Huffington Post has been using her reach since the 1990’s and began her news website in 2005.  In 2012, The Huffington Post became the first commercially run, United States digital media enterprise to win a Pulitzer Prize.

I was introduced to the Huffington Post during the days of my confused “what to do now” stage in political science and public policy.   

While Ms. Huffington might not be everyone’s cup of tea, women are certainly making strides in the industry.
